Components and Microinteractions

Urban Outfitters buttons and assets

Project Introduction

We were asked to choose a brand and create various creative exciting asset microinteractions to be used in a concept for a site.

I chose Urban Outfitters for my brand because I thought it was sleek and modern with fun and youthful undertones that I loved. I opted to go for a severe black and white design for the assets, but when activated they were accented with multicolored action lines and fun unexpected movements to surprise and excite the user as they shop on the app.

Moodboard

This was the moodboard that I created to showcase the aesthetic of the brand with the use of sleek minimal lines and pops of color and pattern.

Buttons

These were various styles of buttons shown in inactive, hover, and selected states that could be used throughout the site.

Toggle

This was a series of toggle interactions that I created for the brand including checkboxes and radio buttons.

Slider

This is an example of a few sliders that would be used to select any point on a scale.

Dropdown

These dropdown options were specifically made for mobile usage to allow either a few or many options to be selected easily

Menu

This is a mega-menu that would allow the user on a mobile device to pick a category and dig deep into it. I wanted to design something that didn't use a hamburger menu while not overwhelming the screen.
